Title: Speaker Upgrade

Hi guys, my car must be the most basic Edition 30 out there (cheap price though  :smiley:) I came to fit the VW six speaker upgrade kit yesterday but was only successful in fitting four of the speakers and the two front mid range were not even there. These speakers are for a direct replacement only. So now I have to make a wire lume so as to adapt to fit them. I spoke to VW and a wire lume for each door is £65.00  :angry:. Has any one come across this and could give me some tips. Many Thanks Brett

Could the confusion be because the early GTIs came with an '10 speaker system' with 3 in each door at the front, whereas later cars had an '8 speaker system' with a morew logical 2 in each door?
