After reading all the horror stories on here I just thought I'd share a positive experience I had on ebay, basically my previous wipers were knackered and needed replacing.
My old boy gave me a loan of his new VRS Tdi and I was inspired by the aero style...
Anyways they arrived promptly and were a doddle to fit once you figure out the wee flappy bit and really make a big difference over stock.

Next purchase will have to be HIDs, I need them in my life....
170bhp, 350nm, Dirty great torque monster, love it.

The have wipers come supplied with a plastic adaptor on them to fit standard arms, you get used to it. I just took my original wiper arms off, gave them a rub down and paint with some smoooooth hamerite spray I had kicking about. Looks good, or perhaps better than they were would be more accurate
Although I think I heard somewhere that Lupo wipers fit the Corrado so perhaps it'd be worth a fiddle about with see if they'd fit the mk2??
Like your light travels faster than sound thing, made me chuckle...

I’ve got them on mine too. Seems to only judder when travelling at speed, did you, or anyone else with aero wipers, find this happening too?
Sure I read something once on here that the juddering was the wiper motor giving up a little? Any truth in this?

I haven't heard that, but whilst (ahem) on my private race track, last night in the process of showing a Citroen C4 VTR who was boss I think I touched about 120ish and wipers were working fine. I must have been taking my brave pills
New wiper motor can't be that expensive can it? or is it to do with the tension on the spring in the arm being too tight and therefore pushing the wiper arm too hard against the windscreen I wonder?

It was on the motorway when they were juddering
So yeah
Was at speed :undecided:
Woulda thought the whole 'aero-ness' of them would stop that
-
yeah, you would think

Let us know how that goes...

So are these easy to fit then ? What was the issue with "the flappy bit" ? Don't know if I've missed it on ebay but I take it that £9.90 is per blade as opposed to a pair ? Also, how long did they take to arrive ? I need some new wipers and might get some for GTI festival next week if they are likely to arrive in time.

I think this only applies to the rear wiper arm, iirc you have to drill the hole a little larger on them as well for them to fit over the mk2 wiper spindle

i thikn that depends on waht year.. or is that the front, where the spindle size changes?
either way i punto'd my rear wiper - twas a nice touch.

nope that's for the both and if you buy them the "flappy bit" will make sense. If you order and pay tonight should be there in time hopefully, arrived pretty prompt for me hence original post.

Right, they better be good as I've just bought a pair ! See what happens for a £13 punt.

Aero wipers work well at lower speeds when the wind force pushes them against the windscreen - all good! At higher speeds they are not worth bothering with, as the force becomes gretaer the opposite happens - they lift off the windscreen because the wind gets underneath the blades that are designed to keep them stuck down.
How often do you drive on the motorway........
-
Well maple, I drive on motorway every week in the north east of scotland, right along the shore, can't say I've noticed a problem.
Obviously if you are driving @ 90 in a monsoon any wiper is going to struggle, but pretty much anything is going to be an improvement over knackered standard ones.
Let us know how you get on Gibby...
