My 8v is (finally) getting close to coming out of winter hibernation. During the winter I dismantled and replaced loads of brake bits, master cylinder, hoses, piston seals, the fluid was drained out. How much fluid do I buy to refill and bleed it?
-
When I did it last year, I found 2 litres to be enough.

No more than a couple of litres, but it's better value the more you buy (like most things)
oh and DOT4 incase you are wondering.

Great, thanks for your help. I can make a mess with all that this weekend
Must say, I got new piston seals from Biggred's website. At first I ordered the wrong set and didn't realise until weeks later, when I got round to fitting them. When I contacted them to say they didn't fit, they agreed to exchange no problem and at no extra cost. Only took a day to deliver the first set as well.

i buy 5lts of brake fluid at a time, one dose the job but i quite often undo the bleed valves on the callipers and let some fresh drain through if they have starterd to feel soft after lots of abuse, alsp 5ltrs is cheeper than 2x1 ltr in local motorfactor
