Title: Oil change time. Mobil 1 or Castrol???

Any of you peeps got any opinions on Mobil 1 compared to Castrol oil???
(Basically whats best)

If you do a search for oil and Teutonic Tamer there are many little essays on the comparitive merits of different oils.

I think the jist of it was that Catrol = very good.  Mobil = very bad.

stick with castrol 5W-30 and you'll be fine...   :smiley:

I bought Castrol SLX 5W-30 which has "Longlife III" in the corner from the stealer. That's the stuff you want - LL oil.

Stick with the fully synth Castrol edge 5W 30! (believe thats Longlife as I have been told)

Keep seeing costco mentioned on various forums, never seen one though  :undecided:

Apparently there is one in Leeds, is it one of them places I need to be a member to shop there or trader etc??

its there mate, got 5 - 30 edge on the weekend from halfrauds for my oil guzzler!

The Leeds one is in Hunslet on Leathley Road.

It is supposed to be for businesses, but you can join if you work for a long list of employers, so pretty much anyone can join.
