I'll time it on a sundial next time I take it out.
It's not fast, probably about 8-9 secs standard.
Cabs aren't about speed, it's all about getting there in style  8)

according to parkers it never happens  :D :

http://www.parkers.co.uk/choosing/tech_data/index.aspx?range_id=10029

it's going to be slower than a mk1 gti due to the extra weight.

Notice how it doesnt give a 0-60 time for a Sportline. The reason for this is simple - stopwatches only show time to 0.01seconds!! And we all know that a sportline is far quicker than that ;D

Hi

Anyone know the 0-60 times of the GTI and Clipper?

When I looked at parkers site before they f**ked it up and removed all the useful info, they quoted clipper 9.8secs and GTI 9.4, hope this helps

my gti definately feels quicker than my old corsa which are quoted at 10.5 seconds. and keeps up with my girlfriends fiesta zetec s which is quoted at 9.5 seconds.

im realy impressed with how quick it is from 40 - 90, absolutely flies ;D

its not about speed though, its getting there in style (as previously stated) ;)

driving a cab is already making a statement you dont need to wheelspin and quote 0-60's

and besides your quoting 0-60 times of a car designed 30 years ago, the last GTI MK1 came off 21 years ago and to have a 0-60 time that it did have then made it a bloody fast car in its day, its unfair to compare a cab to everday 0-60's its not the reason you bought the car.
