Hi
Anyone know the 0-60 times of the GTI and Clipper?
Thanks in advance.
-
Dont know but its a hell of allot slower than my car ;)
-
I'll time it on a sundial next time I take it out.
It's not fast, probably about 8-9 secs standard.
Cabs aren't about speed, it's all about getting there in style 8)
-
according to parkers it never happens :D :
http://www.parkers.co.uk/choosing/tech_data/index.aspx?range_id=10029
it's going to be slower than a mk1 gti due to the extra weight.
-
i agree with Ads,u dont buy a cabrio for speed!u just pose n chill! 8)
so :P mr rallye! ;D ;)
Dinx :-*

Notice how it doesnt give a 0-60 time for a Sportline. The reason for this is simple - stopwatches only show time to 0.01seconds!! And we all know that a sportline is far quicker than that ;D
-
looking at that parkers guide, does anyone know whats the differance between a rivage and a rivage(lt)? ???
-
super lightweight edition. means the collection of scissors and blue rinse agent has been removed :P
oooh, being cheeky sir? outrageous :o
-
eyeletboy, I was just wondering that myself when I looked at the link but I don't know but would be like to. :)
As for that jv, he's getting really cheeky about cabs lately, anyone would think it was his site or something ;D :P
-
oh do u like it sir,do u? lol
Dinx :-*
-
About 12 secs ;)
-

if your lucky ;)
-
About 20 minutes when it's sunny and the roofs down, but hey, who cares 8)
-
8)
YEAH!

It doesn't matter, when the hoods down and it's sunny and you have slamming music blasting out.... ;D

Hi
Anyone know the 0-60 times of the GTI and Clipper?
When I looked at parkers site before they f**ked it up and removed all the useful info, they quoted clipper 9.8secs and GTI 9.4, hope this helps

my gti definately feels quicker than my old corsa which are quoted at 10.5 seconds. and keeps up with my girlfriends fiesta zetec s which is quoted at 9.5 seconds.
im realy impressed with how quick it is from 40 - 90, absolutely flies ;D
its not about speed though, its getting there in style (as previously stated) ;)

Hello....Im the proud owner of a Clipper Mk1 Cab and a Golf GTI Cab 0-60 my Clipper is quicker only because it has a twin choke webber carb however the GTI has sooooooo much better topend ..hope this helps

driving a cab is already making a statement you dont need to wheelspin and quote 0-60's
and besides your quoting 0-60 times of a car designed 30 years ago, the last GTI MK1 came off 21 years ago and to have a 0-60 time that it did have then made it a bloody fast car in its day, its unfair to compare a cab to everday 0-60's its not the reason you bought the car.
