Difficult to tell in that pic.
Like the drls though.
-
DRL?
-
Next stop front grille,then-any ideas?
-
GTI bumper.
-
I like it.
A cheap pop at BMW and Audi in one go.
-
i like it too, set the trend

Looks ok.

HMMMM,
I looked at these a few months ago, but was warned off them as apparently the halogen "projector" dipped beam is very very poor.
How you finding them?

I have the same set ready to go into mine  Just need to figure out how to wire the DRL strip to actually work as DRLs instead of glorified sidelights. Hurdy and Komenda have them too!

When you fit them solder all the LED cables together, then isolate the side light cable from the light terminal, strip a little section of wire cut it and fit it all together with a crimp connector, job done in 10 mins a side tops.
et voila LED DRL's

Just wondering would this only turn them on when the sidelights come on or would they be on whenever the engine is running?
-
Only when you turn the sidelights on
-
Is that how they are supposed to work? Like on Audis and such? I thought the DRLs were meant to be on whenever the engine was running.
-
They are but it's a bit more work messing with the switch, and we didn't have the required skills.
-
Fair enough. Thanks for the info mate
-
No probs, have fun
-
Upgrade the bulbs for nightbreakers
-
I haven't had a problem with light so far-in fact i would say there's probably more light on the road now than with the standard lights.
Looking for some rear clusters to match now - ideas?

I will drop him a line. Cheers.
Whilst I have you hear we all still on for 28th?
-
Yep all booked in for 8:30 so an early start. I'll PM you the postcode for the Nav.
Probably strip mine down first thing, then if you get there for 9 we can push mine out and swap the stuff over so you can shoot off then put mine back together.

Anyone know more about the wiring for these lights?
Are there any CAN-Bus issues with the angel eye lights?
Id like to find out exactly what wiring needs to be done to get these fully functioning, without OBC errors.
I do like the look of them - if they throw the light as good as stock halogens, Im keen!

was thinking of these to go with them - what do you think?
-
Lexus lights on ANY car other than a Lexus are chavtastic imo.
-
I know what you mean - but I think the description is inaccurate here tbh. They look nothing like lexus lights in the flesh - and don't you think they would match the black angel eyes?
Or can you recommend something different?
Quite a difficult colour car to plan for really-would be much easier in black!
-
I have a set of those. Mine are tinted a little too. I get what you are doing since your car is a similar colour to mine. I'm kind of going off them though  They look nice in your hands but when actually fitted to the car are a bit :undecided:. I might put them on again some time but for now I have them left off.
A good alternative are R32 lights, which are like stock only with a darker red. They always look good.

Does anybody have these angel headlights on their MK5?

Yep a good few people have those. Dunno about anybody on here but I know a few Irish dubbers with them and there are a good few on the American forums with them.
Here's a thread I found through google:
