Ha.  This happened to me in my old VR, in the lion enclosure at Longleat safari park.  Luckily the bloody thing was loud enough to scare off any inquisitive predators.

Mind was temporarily resolved by slamming the door shut a couple of times.

Sorry for a un-constructive reply.

Take the door card off. Undo the 2x 10mm bolts that hold the window to the reg. Slide the window up, then unbolt the bolt holding the top of the mech in place and push it slightly out the way, thread a longer bolt through the hole, and into one of the holes on the metal bracket on the window - and it will hold it fully closed.

Mine get stuck open of closed during damp/cold weather, with the door card off tap the motor with a hammer whilst pressing the electric window button. This may free it up, it has worked for me.

i dismantled my regulator to find lots of rust, probably not doing it any good. Cleaned off the rust, sprayed it with wd40, never had a problem since.
