I had a spare hour today so I decided to fit my mk5 mirrors.
I only managed to get one fitted as I came up against a problem with the inidcator wiring (that I caused myself lol) plus the wife wanted to go for a run before it got dark. I'm fitting the other side 2moro and should be able to wire the indicators in too. All the cables have been run through so It should be easy from now on (he says)

Yes mate I've got some proper VW blanks for them which are colour coded, don't want to go through the hassle and expense of getting the side repeaters properly smoothed off
I'll edit and get rid of the double pic lol

Really liking the mkv mirrors you've fitted wazzer great job there mate :wink: did you spray the covers yourself? how did you wire the idicators in? *goes to my to do list mmmmm good stuff :cool:

the hazard switch has got the relay built in so it has seperate +ve wires coming out the back for each side of the indicators. It's easier to tap into them rather than scratch around under the dash trying to find an approopraite feed

yeah was thinking the same mate, but not at the mo as they are £60 for a set!
I would have got a frontal pic but my mates bright yellow caddy was in the way lol

yeah I know, crazy price. The clear ones sell for around £25 each though so I shouldn't spend out too much getting them but I haven't got the money to outlay at the mo as I need to save up to get the K03s fitted and my remap :wink:

right they are in, wired up and work a treat :cool:
I've also just removed the side repeaters and put the blanks in, it tidies up the side nicely
I didn't get any pics as I left my phone indoors but I'll get some at work 2moro :wink:

yes fogs next Rich, just got to find a mk4 in the scrapyard so I can get the right terminal for the plug so I can make it look factory fit, there aren't any over here at the mo though!
Only other opion is a repair wire but I don't know the right number even from looking through ETKA :sad:

Mould should be quite easy mate, abit of rc200 should look nice with a tight weave.
Order some cheapo covers of ebay, make yours using that and stick em on :laugh:
