Wasnt sure where to puts this (sorry) but its for a mk4 :)


Basicsally im wanting to know where do you guys and girls recommend I buy a miltek system from - is there anywhere which offers discount for the forum, also do you think I should get it fitted from one of their places or will it be ok if I get it done by my trusty mechanic  :laugh:

Both JBS Autodesigns in Chesterfield and Awesome in Manchester have massive saving on Milltek for next month or so mate.. :wink: Awesome offering free fitting, JBS offering free postage or fitting..

well on uk-mkivs there is a group buy im gettign just the cat-back for now and with the offer im saving around £100 which to be fair is an awsome saving!! just need to find out what end of yr bonus im gettign which should be this week and tbh most of it is going on the Golf  :grin: mainly things that need to be done/fixed

Got the discrete look T/P as ive just had bumpers smoothed so wouldnt want to ruin all that hard work and the 'look'....getting the remap as soon as ive gathered funds after paying for the miltek :p

its so true that wants u start modding u cant stop!!! its like a drug....but better  :evil:

Id be interested in finding out about the SMIC, are the gains as gd as the front mounted ones? and how much are we looking at compared to the FMIC?

Was slightly cheaper from the US @ £345 delivered, but I was worried about getting stung for VAT &/or Import tax & extra admin charges etc. :rolleyes:

I went for the SM for 4 reasons.

1)  I've just bought the 5 piece hose kit, 2 of which are used on the SMIC.
2)  It's a lot cheaper than the FM kit.
3)  It's a lot easier/quicker to fit.
4)  I've heard FMIC's are only really beneficial on big turbos.  I don't know how true it is, but one tuner told me that on various KO3 turbos, he had recorded higher intake temps with FMIC's.  It may have been rubbish, but for the reasons above, I didn't want to chance it myself, TBH. :)

All it is, is that a certain T_J_G is keeping a very keen eye on my exhaust movements.  I'm getting a Milltek Anni soon, & for some reason, Tim is very keen for me to get a move on!  Can't think why, LOL!!! :D
