Title: insurance for modded cars? help

my car has mods coming out of its ears,  but only hic can insure as i am only 23.   i have to be 25 at most places.

does anyone else insurs modded cars.
is a pain!

The ones I would try are Greenlight, Adrian Flux and Brentacre. I'm currently with HIC and happy with the price.

The only problem with Bell/Admiral/Elephant are they insure you and your as standard, yes declaring mods makes little difference, but if your car isn't considered a write off, they will only take back to standard. The other problem I'm not sure about as of yet is if they allow you to salvage any parts off the car before it's scrapped because if mine too a punt and was wrote off, I'd want all the stuff I could get lol!

No they won't the only choice you have got is to try and get the parts removed before they take it, after its gone its gone, a lot of people on other forums have lost out.

You pay £39.95 more to insure modified parts on Bell, Admiral, and Elephant ..

No it won't be, they will only fit or replace standard parts so you lose the value of any mods.

Nah just had a look, they have an extra service now, where you pay £30 and they will cover your mods, but only to £500 of 10% of the car's value, hardly worth it to be honest.
