right,
opinions really, i think that these wheels are schweeeeet, but i am currently having a small debate with a fellow mk2'er who thinks they are beyond gash and has threatened to knife my tyres if i buy them, what do you guys think? i dont think black gloss is the best colour for them but sumthin custom, maybe 2 colours on my pimp ride would look good!

I like them but have never been sure they look right on a mk2.
-
Car needs to be slammed to pull it of imho!
-
im not a fan of those rims on mk2's, never have been
-
I've sold these on now as they were a set I bought to tide me over while I was refurbing my other rims.....
Fitted nice as they were 16" same as my D90's but was never sure about them.
I reckon they would look good in black.

I would throw cans of de-icer at your car if you fitted them
-
And I'd throw bits of spark plug ceramic back at you
D90's look alot better
-
Makes it look like a mid eighties XR3i!
-
Love pepper pots but not on a MKII!
-
dunno not entirely put off if there is a tidy paint job done on them, on the back burner for now as got zorst and coilies comming first :afro:
-
do you fooking listen  NO coilies
-
Dont suit a mk2 at all if you ask me
-
do you fooking listen  NO coilies
bugga' thought you were down pub!
-
slammed car, polished wheels, stretched rubber, small bumper car only, my 2p
-
Adaptors For The FAIL (much like cheap coilovers).
Porsche parts on VWs make you look like you aimed for a Porsche and missed badly.

whats wrong with coilovers?
Porsche parts on VWs make you look like you aimed for a Porsche and missed badly.
No, Porsche parts on VW's look like you've put Porsche parts on a VW.

understand what you are saying DH but it isnt the fact that they are porsche its the look! yes unfortunately they would need spacers aswell :undecided:
-
I like 'em  ..... but then I do have two sets so probably a bit biased  though reckon the et23 ones look better and agree with the comment on stretched rubber, small bumper and slammed
-
I like them but not on a big bumper 3door.
Hard slammed black 5 door, small bumpers, black wheels = pimpin
Porsche and VW share early DNA so it's cool that you can interchange parts. Different if you fit, say, Honda wheels...
There again with no bad taste there would be no good taste, and no one to laugh at

decided i dont like these now, saw a lovely 911 targa today at a customers house, superb lookin car to be fair and well looked after and guess what....it had these wheels on and they looked sh!t!
back to the drawing board!
-
Course they will have looked crap .. will have had balloon tires on and the car won't have been scraping the floor
