Hi,

my name is tom (obviously) and last weekend i picked my first dub an 83 mk1 gti. But alas i've broke it already but im working on it, before this week i'd never touched an engine and now ive performed a compression test and i'm getting ready to remove the head.

The car has a 1.8 16v engine from a mk2
twin weber 45's
new 280mm g60 brake conversion, including big servo and master cylinder, calipers and discs.
4 to 1 manifold
new fk coilovers
zender 15' alloys
new polly bushes
all new brake pipes and flexi`s
brand new 100mm cabby driveshafts/inner and outer cv`s
brand new gt3 style front seats on propper sub frames
stripped out rear

Well those are the mods i can remember anyway. The body and chassis is in pretty awesome shape really, the only rust really found is underneath the well where the spare wheel drops in. Some pics:
