Title: mk3 aniversary clocks (not just the dials , the whole unit)...
Post by: joff GTI on 11 March 2009, 17:59
i`ve found some but the mileage is 70k & my original clocks are 119k , is there any way this can be adjusted from 70 to 119k to match what mileage my car actually is? also will it be difficult to fit?

can be done, will cost about 30 quid, you need to call one of those electronic dash people you see advertised in the auto trader, i did the same with the same clocks

its easy mate, about 6 screw, 2 on the steering colum surround (so it splits) pop out the head lite switch there  one behind it then on the other side remove the blank these two remove the dial surround then there is two holding the dials in remove these, once removed pull the clocks out so you can removed the connector, the fit the new clocks

Anni didn't have a fuel light? Odd isn't it?

Anyway, you can buy a VAG-Tacho off eBay for £20 and do it yourself. Then sell it on.

Yep they all work, I read that someone had a problem with the handbrake light and/or the ABS light stopping on after fitting Ibiza clocks, mine have been fine so far *touch wood* although they only went in yesterday.

no mk3's have a fuel light..

Pretty sure it was an American thing, all mk3's have the space in the clocks but only ever seen it working on American ones.
