Thanks,
Ben.

try the Derv Doctor
think Steve_PD has just priced one up at £500 from them including a release bearing at approx £40
don't forget to change your flywheel and then you got fitting on top
i had no change from £950

I'd like a remap, but I can't justify spending that kind of money - JESUS!
-
fook me that is daft money, i paid that much for an uprated clutch and flywheel for my evo !

if its any consolation i believe Steve has done approx 6K miles, maybe more since his 200bhp R-Tech remap and so far no signs of slippage........(apologies to Steve if i've now jinxed him!)
-
So after paying ALL that money, you stillcant guarantee the clutch not slipping!

you've misread it - Steve is on his ORIGINAL clutch
-
My mate has had his 130 mapped for a while and the clutch seems to work fine.

mines on about 8.5k ish now, no slippage yet, but flywheel may be going :undecided: got a slight vibration
Get it remapped you wont look back!!!
you can get other upgraded clutchs but have read a few bad reports about them
-
Nick's gonna read this thread before much longer and slap me! I've been fannying about over a remap for ages but I'm worried to death I'll some how regret it, ie, clutch slip, premature wear on turbo, etc. I really couldn't afford a major repair / upgrade because of the remap. I ain't got the pennies :embarassed:
Come on people - reassure me!!!
PS - the original clutch has done just 43k miles, but I'm worried that (being a turbo diesel) the remap will fry the clutch...
-
just man up, grow some balls and get the fooker mapped
you only live once!
