Hello all, i am posting here due to source some help with a task i have with my GT TDI mk4 golf. I have just purchased a 25th anniversary bodykit for my golf, i would just like to know all your opinions on the best way to fit it and have it painted. I am in the motortrader myself and i have spoken to a body repair man who has a body shop and he has said fit the kit first before you paint it. But maybe i should paint it first then fit? please can anyone help me?

paint it first then fit it

yeah when i spoke to a bodyshop about my valances they basically siad they woudl take them off , srpay them then fit so i would say get it sprayed then fitted

it makes sense to then you dont run the risk of the paint peeling at the edge. if they nt on the car yet should be a piece of cake mate

thanks a lot lads i will get them down the body shop now then but 1 more thing, how is the best way to fit them screws and secaflex? thanks

with the valances i was under the impression they shoudl just clip in place of the standard ones, not sure about the skirt but im sure the bodyshop will be able to tell you

Valances: Torx screws & 'tongue & groove' kind of fitment.
Skirts: Need to be bonded on. :afro:
