just wondering if there is any other anniversary owners using this site
???
-
yep. Just bought it. Nice alloys, but just getting used to the colour of the seatbelts.
-
Had mine for just over 2 years. No probs with it so far.
-
I'm pleased with mine - got it for ?5200 with only 43k miles
I went with a friend who is a VW mechanic to see it, and he was impressed with the condition. Another friend (again VW mechanic) just serviced it, changed cambelt and fluids / lubes etc, was also impressed with the car.
Beats all the other rubbish I saw over the last month when trying to find a decent golf.
I thought the anniversary was rare - seemed not to be the case. 3 out of the 10 cars I saw were anniversaries! and even one of those turned out to be a piece of s**t and I wasn't fooled by the respray job and missing anniversary bits.
-
read some where that only 150 16v anniversary models were imported into uk,
must admit that i am missing a few of the original features.
-
Shame about the missing bits - just as long as it's not the wheels. They will be expensive!
Ideally I would have liked a 16v but good 16Vs are generally hard to find second hand, let alone an anniversary one. It already took me so long to find a good 8V
-
not the original wheels!! doh.
i was lucky to find my anniversary, was looking for any 16v gti and luckly found my motor.
its nice to be that little bit different from the normal gti's
:D

oh dear - pity about the alloys - never mind I'm sure you have equally nice ones
-

i know there bbs but dont no there name,
where could i find some?
