Title: Broke the glove compartment handle !

Bo!!ocks !  :angry:

just broke the handle and can't for the f@@kin life of me open the glove compartment now !!

I don't want to break it off completely ...but i'm thinkin it's the only way ?

Rip the handle off completely and you can then use a screw driver to open the mechanism, then i just bought a new handle from the breakers for 3 quid.. Good luck mate

yup this has happened to me twice now, i must be too heavy handled  :grin: same as richie rip handle off, screwdriver to open AND REPLACE

same happened here commom problem on the mk3s

look at shows at the mk3s bet youll spot a few with broken handles

As you out in Spain I guess there arent many VW scrappies!
Should be able to get one from a main dealer easily.

gotta say , it's crap quality if it breaks like that !! ..never happened in my E30.....  :lipsrsealed:

common fault and becareful if you buy from ebay etc as the dealers/gsf/euro only charge about £7-8 for the genuine handle (yet there's always loads on ebay for £10+..)

This happend to mine not long ago .. i tore it all off and spent a good 20 min with a long screw driver got there in the end.
