if it's a g60 one then more like 3k but i think less than 100 were g60. you and your damn bargains!

check out the features section of the main site, there is an article i did about the fire+ice model  8)

but what if it isnt  a g60 would it still be worth more than 1k.

by the way jv i may just buy it and stick a g60 in it ;)

just read the article - -may be worth buying after all. - hopefully the guy wont let me down stopped him in the street and he sadi 900 quid got him down to 750 said he would gohome and speak to his missus. so heres hoping i get it.
this truly would be teh bargain of the century. ;D

i have seen a Fire & Ice G60 advertised but it has a grey Recaro interior, is it original or should it have that colourful pink/purple number??  Does it devalue it much to have this wrong??
Title: Re:Fire&Ice prices.
Post by: vixteris on 15 July 2004, 11:38
yeh would devalue it a fair bit.  the interiors one of its famous extras.  garish to some, beautiful to others.  can u imagine trying to source a fire and ice interior  :o    doesnt make the car unworthy though, at the end of the day its still a g60  8) :D
Title: Re:Fire&Ice prices.
Post by: Fraiser on 15 July 2004, 11:52

it dhould have the funky original interior for it to get its max value.

never used to like that interior at first but now ive seen it properly it has grown on me,

wonder how much one of those interiors is worth.
Title: Re:Fire&Ice prices.
Post by: jv on 15 July 2004, 12:47
don't flog the bonkers interior! that's the main point of a fire+ice. otherwise, what have you got? a purple mk2!

marcus, some reading for you:
http://www.golfgti.co.uk/viewfeature_content.asp?featureID=15

as you can see an original g60 fire+ice is pretty rare  :)
Title: Re:Fire&Ice prices.
Post by: Fraiser on 15 July 2004, 13:06

Yeah the original g60 is rare so hopefully ill be building my own hehehe ;D.

fraiser im being serious dude, if your planning on letting it go then let me know in advance, gonna have to get rid of my dub ;)

as long as you keep the splitties on it and the rallye interior ;)
Title: Re:Fire&Ice prices.
Post by: Fraiser on 16 July 2004, 10:05
hopefully picking up car on sunday night - paid them a depo last night so heres hoping all goes well.

why cant people just take the money and give me the car >:(.

Marcus mate - if the car goes up for sale and the correct amount of money is agreed then the splitties and the interior MAY stay in the car. I was thinking of putting the splitties on the fire/ice.

Post by: tinman on 16 July 2004, 10:14
surely the point of the fire&ice is that it is a special from VW and doesnt need its appearence changed?

personally, i'd take Estorils over BBS Splits any day. less cleaning with a toothbrush has to be good.

Title: Re:Fire&Ice prices.
Post by: Fraiser on 16 July 2004, 10:16
estorils look good but personally i like the bbs splits better - and like u say the only bugger is the cleaning. :P
