Title: Removing scuffs from tail lights
Post by: Josho on 09 March 2009, 20:02
Got some MK3 rear lights, but they have some light scuff marks on them. Very light but noticable. What's the best way of removing them? I'd prefer to stay clear of sanding but what is the best way?

Sand the with 2000 grade wet/dry and soapy water, machine polish with Farecla G3, they will sparkle better than new! chuck em in the dish washer to get properly clean, wax them when dry...

Darn it. Looks like I'll have to do that then.

My sisters BF said he'd give me a machine polisher as he picked two up that were getting thrown out. I think they just spin, not dual action, this OK?

Could I do the polishing by hand do you reckon?
