So the other day the batteries for my immobliser started fading so i opened it up to find what looked like 4 calculator batteries held together be a plastic sleeve that, on closer inspection, looked like it had been machine done as opposed to homemade.
Went to a few shops and they told me i just needed to buy individual batteries and tape them together which i did using celotape which looked quite professional when completed!!
Put them into the immobliser and did not work!
Tried different - to + but no avail.
bought some more batteries which again did not work.......then wandered if the fact that i bought them from a stall and they were best b4 2007 might mean i just got unlucky!
Have now resorted to a large square battery which i touch against the 2 metal coils and away i go.......this takes time and is kind of ridiculous!
Apart from feeling totally stupid posting this i hope that someone can shed some light on this for me!
Thanks!

Try buying new batteries. Could have been bad stock, and scammer stall owners.
