Title: Engine cover with refreshed lettering

My G/F's Dad very kindly (& painstakingly) painted the 20v Turbo letters for me.  (Forgot to take a before picture, though, but sure I've got an old one somewhere).

looks like you have just stuck tin foil over the numbers & letters! :evil:

I think to start with, he used a silver enamel paint, but he wasn't happy with the finish, LOL, so he then used 'silver leaf' & polished it with a heat resistant varnish.

Just hope I don't burn it off!! :D

It's silver leaf, so does look very shiny!  It's not the best picture, TBH, but I'm really pleased with the results, myself. :)

I like it, my mate James did mine a while back but in red, made such a difference

Mine cover's are getting done the same colour as the wheels but not sure what colour to do the lettering, were they any colour from new? I'm thinking white to go with the vw badge?

Iv got the red paint but havent had the time yet to get it done!!
