Title: will these wheels fit my mk2

howdy

have just been lookin at some wheels for my mk2 16v gti, they are 16", 7j, with a 35mm offset, to be honest i dont really know what the j thing and offset mean, will they fit ok or will they be too big/stick out too much etc,
