as I hav been thinkin about it
for when i get a gti
and is it costly

yeh you can get some mk2s with aircon for about ?1800 notes nowdays dude, ;)

I have the windows up in the summer and get a nice cold breeze off the normal fan  8)

Alternatively a cheaper method would be to go down the local hardware store and buy an angle grinder and chop your roof off ;D ;D

There's been a steady flow of homemade mk2 cab's popping up at the euro shows ;D

I'm assuming that if you got the matrix and fan parts from a a/c'd car and the pump it wouldn't be that hard. I had considered it when I did my swap. Not sure about the wiring though without seeing it first. I guess it's not that hard though.

dont' be affraid of trying something new :)
