Title: WHEN SHOULD THE CAMBELT BE CHANGED..1.8T AUM??

As title when should i change the cambelt/tensioner?? cheers  :cool:

I believe VW say every 60,000 miles, but most people go for every 40,000 instead. Not sure on how many years though, 4 isn't it?

well im about to do mine, they say every 40,000 or 4 yrs which ever happens first, mine is nearly 7 yrs old and just on 43 so need to do it either way

every 40k, it's all in the maintenance section above, even VW say 40k now.

cheers mine was done 2 yrs ago at 75k and its on 110k now so will need doing in bout 5k miles(5months time)  :cry:...oh well mods might have to wait abit longer lol

thats what i was told by vw  mine was nearly 7 years old and nearly 54k so got the cam-belt,tensioner,roller and the waterpump all changed during the cars service
