Im looking to get tyres for my TT comps. Atm i have always used Goodyear Eagle F1's on my standard gti wheels, i can get these in 195/45/17 for about £85 a tyre for the tt comps.
Pradas are available in 205/40/17 for about £60 a tyre for the tt comps.
Can only get poo nankang in 195/40/17....
TT comps are 7.5 inch wide i believe. They will be on a mk3 obvs.
F1's seem very good wet and dry. Never owned pradas?
Opionions and help?
Cheers

I've got eagle f1's
Fantastic tyres :)
Grip really well!
I don't know of the other make you mentioned but I definately recommend F1s :afro:
-
Yokohama Prada is the other.
Problem is also the sizes offered are limited, and i want it to be tight stretch to get low.
-
Hmm well if you're gonna be stretching tyres then they're not going to work as well as they should, but you already know that :)
I'd still recommend the F1s if you can get them in the size you want!

mike im currently runnin conti contact sport 2 195/40/17's on my vr. around the £90 mark per tyre.

How wide are the wheels?
-
7.5' wide. have a look on tyrestretch.com for an idea of how they will look.
-
ive got eagle f1s and i really rate best tyre you can grt imo
-
You will struggle to stretch eagle f1's as they have a reinforced sidewall
-
Yoko's are great tyres but not sure about stretcing them though :undecided:
-
seeing as pradas are shoes/clothes and eagle f1s are tyres, i'd go with the eagle f1s for the car.
-
Eagle F1's, not the cheapest tyre but IMO the best by some way
-
i use parada, but cant get them in the size i want for my porsche rims! so im going for the S Drive yoko's i think
got sport contact 3's on the mk 4, wasnt cheep at £595 for 4 (225/40/18) but great rubber all the same
-
ive got paradas on the back of my mk2, i bought them because they were advertised and recomended by friends as being as good as f1s.
they arent.
at all.
pretty good in the dry but pretty lame in the wet, and very little warning when they let go.
if you think paradas are as good as eagle f1s then you only used about 3/4 of what the f1 could do, toyo proxes t1s or t1r are the only tyre i can think of that come close as an all conditions (except ice/snow, obviously) road tyre and should still be available in most sizes.

EAGLES all day long.

Think i will stick to my eagle F1's then. lol. Cheers

My brother had them on his Ibiza Cupra and he loved them and after my mother lost the back of her MX5 on a roundabout she had two put on the back and reckons there the nuts
