get the boost hoses for sure as most are re-designed to improve air flow which is all good

coolant isn't worth it unless yours are cream crackered

As Rhys says and the OEM ones tend to go hard and break / split ect from years of being heated and cooled  .

TIP is well worth doing :afro:

All IMO ;):-

1)  Save your money - DV works best nearer the turbo. ;)
2)  Well worth the money.
3)  Only if you need them &/or want to dress up the engine bay
4)  Next on my list - These hoses have gone brittle on my car. :afro:

boost hose from intercooler to throttle housing has a tendency to collapse due to it's S shape when letting off boost so it's worth doing that one if any along with the TIP.

Wazzer, does any of the Forge 5 piece kit get replaced by the hoses that you get with the Forge FMIC?
Title: Re: silicone pipes or not?
Post by: Wazzzer on 06 March 2009, 22:59
i've got the SMIC lol

iirc you wouldn't use the biggest one with the FMIC (s shaped throttle to intercooler on the standard set up)

Of course!!!

The new would would be more of a 'U' shape instead of the standard 'S' shape, I take it?!

You tried turning it around??  One side is longer than the other! :D

Seriously, have you phoned Forge?

Is it in completely the wrong position, or is it too tight to go on, or what? :undecided:
