So.... Who's got one or done the conversion?
-
is it worth it? you can that sort of squirt out of a 1.8T
-
But the 225bhp is a 1.8t, better base to start from as opposed to the 150 aint it
-
im currently putting in a AUM 1.8t in. havent actually started yet. should get it going next week. still got a few things to sort out. if you can get a good deal on a 225, then go for it. you got the k04 then, ready to roll. decat, FMIC and the correct map will see you to 270bhp and similar torque stats.
-
im going to be using the 225 in mine, you can also use the 210 as they map to the same...

interesting article in this months redline about engine conversions also back page article on vw seat with ko4 turbos ie tt 225 cupra 210 and 225 kicking out the 270 mark after exhaust, remap, induction kit and think there was another mod but hey ho getting late, or going for mk4 1.8t 150 lump or seat ibiza slightly more tuned 180 lumps as vary in prices. check it out might give u ideas

I think the big issue with 225 engines is their rarity and cost!! (earlier and better 150 engines are very cheap now)
