Title: mk2 fan belt size?

Hi all

can you tell me the difference between fan belts as i need a new one but gsf has 2 sizes :rolleyes:

     FAN BELT-10x950           G2 1.6 Carb (-PAS) 8/83 >10/91
     FAN BELT-10x940           G2 1.6 Carb (-PAS) 8/83 >10/91

my golfs a 1990 1.6 carb no pas but whats the difference in size and why??

why not go to the main dealer and ask them they are only £7ish for a genuine part

Just look at your existing one, its either 950mm or 940mm - should make it pretty clear.

1.8 8v gti (no pas or a/c) is a 950mm long, 10mm wide v-belt  :smiley:
