evening all
Not sure if anyone can help but here goes
My mate has got an 04 plate Polo. the light that tells you the indicator is on has stopped working.
She took it to a local garage who said she has to replace the whole instrument cluster. she then phoned the local vw dealer who told here it would be £300 to fix.
any one know any cheaper ways round it or an easy fix?
Cheers

Prob just the bulb might be a game to take it a apart tho.
Not sure in the MOT would think it would need to be working TBH :undecided:

i would have thought that it would be a bulb but it could be an led if its an led you will have to take the instrument cluster apart and cut and resolder a new led inplace this is more likely as that it why you were quoted for a whold new instrument cluster

breakers yard, new cluster

A new cluster would mean farting about with the mileage etc wouldnt it?

Surely you can get one of your mates who's into cars to do it, I would if you lived by me haha, enough reading and it shouldn't be that hard. I managed to find tutorials on how to do mine on my Golf (obviously not the same 'cause it's not an LED circuit, but anyone with a basic knowledge of electronics could do that for you)

I am sure if you removed the display, you should be able to replace or change the bulb somehow.
