hi all,
got a mk2 golf last week and looking to replace some of the old parts on it to make sure its in full working order and works properly.
so one thing is the suspension - looking to get a new set for the whole car, and not sure what to go for? i am new to the whole car mechanics thing, so thought you guys might be able to help.
let me know if you need more info than this as like i said, i am a mechanical noob!
cheers,

... but then again, a budget, engine size, driving style, road/track, desired ride height ...

ouch they aint cheap lol. got anything a bit cheaper than that? or what details i am looking out for??

You need to know whether you want coilovers or just replacement shocks and springs for a start. I would lean towards the latter for the best bang:buck.

like i said ... bit of a noob when it comes to all this!!! whats ths difference between the two?? i would say coillies, but not sure why though lol

Go for a good quality spring and damper set rather than cheap coillies. If you have a spare £957, go for those Konis, they'll be right.

Not sure on those but scroll down in the link and click on the weitec gt kit. I have ordered these, hopefully to arrive any day and come highly recommended.
