i belive its under the drivers side passenger footwell about 8inches from the side of the car, have a look underneath and you will see a large cylinder.
-
is it easy enough to change? what do i have to do to do it?

I have a 1997 AGG 8v and its beside the rear drivers side wheel, not at the front :/

Yes it should be in front of the rear drivers side wheel.
You will need to undo the bolts on the cover and remove the plastic cover. Remove the front and rear pipe clips then pull off the pipes and fit the new one using new jubilee clips.
Be carefull the old fuel filter will be full of petrol, dont smoke whilst doing this and a good idea to disconnect the battery beforehand.

thanks, so the fuel wont spill out of the pipes will it?
-
A little will. Hold them up, make it spill less.

Remove the fuse for the fuel pump, then start the car, it will stall within 10secs or so, this will release the fuel pressure in the lines.
Do not try to remove the fuel lines without doing this as the pressure in the lines means you getting sprayed with petrol at a great rate.

thanks Wayned, i thought that you must have to do something like that.
Cheers
