whe about 25-35mph if i let the car roll in gear or in neutral i get a wierd noise from the front, same sort of noise a train makes when it goes over the tracks, but not as loud. Have checked for loose stuff aroun the engine but cant see anything out of the normal.
suggestion?

Does the car judder when this happens, or any vibration through the steering wheel ?
-
when were the front bearings last done?

its been juddering for a while. I need to get the wheels balanced and aligned, and i need new discs and pads cos when i brake the steering wheels wobbles like mad.

no idea at all, but it was definitly a noise lauder than wheel bearings, need to sort my o/s bearing though as it is a tad noisy.

If it wobbles that bad when braking then it could be that your discs are warped and the noise could be them just catching the pads as they pass through :undecided:

i know discs are warped thats why i said i will be getting new ones in 2009 at some point. Doubt the pads are cathing as it wouldnt make such a loud and noticable noise. it sounds like a train going over tracks, kind of like the "tut tut.....tut tut......tut tut.....tut tut"

I had a similar problem which I thought was the wheel bearing. When I went to undo the hub nut it definatly wasn't tight enough. Have since tightened it up and the noise has gone. Might be worth a check

will check wheel bolts actually, i took wheel off last week and i doubt i did it up properly.

wheel bolts are on tight....it stops doing it if i turn to the left slightly.
