Title: Heater Matrix...DON'T DO IT!

Just a quick, brief bit of advice. If you ever need to replace your heater matrix for whatever reason, i would bite the bullet & put it into a garage and pay to have it done!

ITS A BALL ACHE!

Even at this stage i hadn't reached the matrix lol!

its all back together...all in all it was a 4 hour job. & i only had one spare screw left over. i knew where it belonged but broke the fixing for it. whoops

I got two screws left over when i took some of my dash out.  :rolleyes: lol

yeah all done. i replaced the old one as it had a tiny leak in it. you could be driving along for an hour when suddenly out of nowhere you would smell a certain smell [antifreeze im guessing] and within seconds the screen would mist up so bad you cant see sh!t! not very practicle when your doing 80 - 90 mph on the motorway!

fingers crossed the new matrix will sort it!

good work there mate hope its sorted now  :smiley: i have heard that the heater matrix is a pain in the a$$e on the mk iv  :cry:

Lol, looks a big job, and they say it's bad enough on a MK2, but that looks terrible.
