Post by: Nicky B on 01 March 2009, 16:55
Hi Guys

just to say hi and I'm the proud owner of a Golf GTi 1.8 20v T,3 door in green,I haven't owned a vw for years, the last one was an orange variant on a k reg 1972,just a bit different!

anyway loving the gti but have a problem, its holding back a bit, loose power for a second then comes in,idle is up and down, thinking maybe a coilpack breaking down, but which one?

any pointers or links needed please

all the best

Nick

Hi. I've only been here a day. Cant help you, but I have learnt that green is the fastest colour. That's one less thing for you to worry about.

well had the golf put on the diag machine at Audi 4 u,came back with 4 intermittant faults,

Mass Airflow meter

Lambda sensor

Fuel trim Bank 1 system too rich

cooling system

he cleared the codes in case someone been taking things off to check for faults, put some miles on it and go back to check again.

I'm gonna start with a temp sensor first I think(cheapest),that would bring up the other codes.

Now my indicators are playing up !!!!!!! need a new relay me thinks

green is an unlucky colour for sure !!!!
