I bought some items from a person on this form, sent them a cheque a month ago and still don't have my items,,,,they have my money,,,i have had some contact with them, but still no items,,,i don't want to name and shame them ,,,but don't know how to resolve this matter
-
Put their name up mate might push them into doing something about it, thats not on.

Then cancel the cheque as well. If you name and shame, that will warn everyone else not to do business with this deceitfull
prick person!
-
conact either of the Admins on here and ask them how they would like you to proceed cos its the forums name that will get dragged down too if this isnt resolved. :afro:
Or just PM me it and i will name n shame instead
-
Phone them and say if they haven't got a good explanation, the police will be informed ASAP.
Good luck!
-
Contact admin or if you really feel the need name and shame.

1, when was the last time he was online - all details on his profile
2, has he said he will be away for a bit
3, contact admin first, top or jv can assist you more than you realise,
then if all else fails
NAme n shame

Did this get resolved??
-
Dont think so from looking at the classifieds its quite easy to see who it is aswell.

FFS - I've just seen this post. I'm the one selling the item.
Isn't everyone keen to rush to judgement on things before they've seen two sides to anything?
Coincidentally the item in question is in front of me and will get picked up tomorrow by DHL. It is well packaged and as described.
Thing is, if someone pays by Paypal I'll pack up and order the shipping for the next day, because I have the money and an address on that day, all together.
If you send a cheque in the post, don't expect it to move at amazing speed from Glasgow to Bristol, via Royal Mail, don't expect it to be cashed instantly as I have to take it to the bank - it was paid in 13th Feb. Don't expect the item to get shipped instantly as I won't ship it until the cheque is cleared and I've had time to check my bank account (not something I do every day).
Also, maybe it would be a good idea to put your address on a bit of paper bigger than two stamps, or it might get lost and I might need to ask for it again.
So yes, it might take a while to get what you buy, especially if at the same time I'm being mucked about on a monumental scale by some c*nt who's sold me a write-off Polo.
So, apologies for not rushing to ship what is a bloody cheap item. It will get to the buyer by the end of the week. No one is being messed about, I've just not managed to get something out the door *quite* as quickly as I might normally.
No one's getting ripped off here. £35 for front and rear Golf3 lights isn't too bad a deal, either.

£35 for front and rear lights are a bargain.
-
I rest my case m'lord - some things just aint so clear cut

Apologies for any offense caused!
(I have just been ripped off to the tune of 6k, so I'm feeling a little raw at the moment!)

Thought this was DH. Knew there was a mistake too.

Going to be honest and say I find cheques a pain, paypal is so much easier and quicker.

ditto

Don't get me wrong I will accept cheques but people seem to forget how long they take to clear.
-
3 days?
-
i thought it was 3-5 working days which is gash, pay-pal FTW
-
thats if you can get to pay it in,
me and our lass works, so if i got a cheque on a monday i couldnt pay it in til satdee morning , so it would be at least 12 days for a cheque to clear for me
-
3 days?
If its paid into an account before 3pm the funds will be avalible on the 4th working day....(thats the official regulations line!)
oh and i have no issues paying cheques in
-
My bank is 4 days from paying it in but some people seem to think that you receive the cheque Monday and they can have the parts Tues.
-
If seller would reply to his e mails,,,it would help,, and for your other problems,,,that's got nothing to do with me,,,it does not matter if the item is a penny or a pound all i want is the lights at a good price from a person that's into volkswagens,,,that's why we go on this site to help each other,, i never expected all these problems(over a month) for a set of lights at £35 and £10 post, I needed the lights for my mot,,,had to buy a set of front lights from elsewhere,,but that's not your problem that's mine,,,,,looking forward to the postman chapping on my door very soon.

no shame, nice to meet ya Mate, and thanks again for the new rimmage :afro:
-
TBH DH is a sound bloke, met him for my dials and is very friendly despite what he posts on here! (Sorry to ruin ya rep) lol
-
DH is top quality bloke, and truly doubt he would rip someone off, as he himself says, its not a 1 or 2 day thing, you have to cash the cheque in, then let it clear, then arrange for the parcel to be collected, then let it get to destination. And like DH said he is being pissed abut by another bloke so he has important things to sort that need sorting.
