I recently bought a workhorse. She is a Toyota Avensis 2.0 Turbo Diesel 1998 mechanical injection.
I have a boost gauge for her as going to put a bleed valve on to up the boost
Im in need of help here as I dont have a clue where to put the vac pipe from the boost gauge in the engine. I will obviously have to T piece it into another pipe.....but which on?
I recently joined a Toyota forum and put this thread up......89 views and not one reply
Can anyone help......any ideas would be great
Can put pics up if that will help

anywhere after the turbo will do, on the intake manifold there are proably a few few small lines about 6mm or so that go to stuff t off one of them will be easyest, best avoiding useing the one for the wastegate if fitting a bleed valve tho.

Here is a pic of the engine. Will there be any pipes under the heat shield?

looks like th einlet manifold is there but sure will manage to find a sutable pipe at manifold pressure without haveing to behind there, bolts on that hear sheild will proably be nasty and easy to shear thanks to the heat from the turbo,
have a look see if there any take off on the turbo houseing itself theres quite often one on the pressure end of the cold side
