Hi, just picked up my Mk2 GTI 8V golf.

just wondering how far the front grill should poke out infront of the bonnet, it any.

and if there were ever any gril bages that said "8v" or "8v GTI" and if so does anyone have one to sell?!?

It should be pretty flush at the top as for the badge. Go on ebay and type in golf gti badge, there are loads on there, The grill badge on the 8v just says "GTI" where are the 16v has "GTI 16V".  :smiley:

The pattern part one's stick out a bit further than the VW one's IIRC.

Mine sticks out about 5mm or so, and is a non-vw item.

reconing mine might not be origninal then! ..it sticks out 5mm or so!
