Title: removing the bloody splitter off big bumpers

Alright guys trying to remove my big bumpers splitter but it just wont budge, any tips?

I spose you could rivet the thing back on? personally id just rip it off with brute force, from memory i think they do release by pulling it off towards you.

mine comes off every time I REVERSE straight onto me driveway  :laugh:

I had a Badger incident. The splitter brought the brunt of the exchange and needed replacing.
Get underneath the splitter ( take an old pillow/ head rest and head torch) and locate the spiggots, i used a pair of plyers to manipulate the spiggots staight while my mate pulled from the front. Came of easily enough.--------------However,,

Fitting a new one was a complete SOD. Lots of sweating and swearing and the two parts finally went on.

My tip-- deep breathing and be patient. Oh yeah, drink lots of tea.

I always remove mine when im washing the car.

Pull the outer corners away first (closest to the arch) and work your way to the middle.

i dont need to pull the outer corners off

they are sticking out every morning anyway just a quick kick and they are back on LOL till tommorrow
