Right - I have a M2 Golf GTI 1989 white 3 door. It has been crashed (by me) and I'm told has a bent chassis.
However there is little damage to the body work.
It also has a very good engine from www.theengineshop.info. This engine has less than 10,000 miles and is very fast. 1.9 Big Bore 8v with Pipercross airfilter and upgraded ECUchip. EST 135-140bhp. This cost £1500 (including fitting)and was put in by theengineshop guys who did a stirling job.
I still have all the paper work for the car and the engine. The car when running was still driveable but will need to be trailored away.
The is currently sorn'd
I will probably regret this but I'm looking to sell the whole car, but have no idea what it's worth? Any ideas?
The plan was to use the engine for a project but I have now taken up cycling and am looking to buy a new bike. Hence the reason for looking to sell.
The car has been sitting in my garage for over almost two years now, it was running but at present won't start, believe this to be a starter motor issue. Something I will get fixed or factor into the price.
This is not a for sale ad yet, more an enquiry from the collective VW brains on here.
