Yes

indeed but you won't see any big gains as with a turbo'd car - you'll get sharper throttle response and a smoother power delivery

My old ctr was remapped. It can smooth the power delivery and give you more through the rev range, it may not give as much peak bhp as a turbo, but can add between 20-40bhp in some areas of the rev range! Well worth it imo. Ill be remapping the R32

lol very doubtful. Most you will see from NA is 20bhp peak. At the end of the day its not what the RR says but how the car feels. If it feels loads better after a map then its worth it imo, the BHP figure is just to tell your mates!

VW Golf IV 4 2.8l V6

Before
204bhp 270Nm

After
222bhp 288Nm

That's not bad, every little bit helps

And with 4motion you'll be able to put the power onto the road, not just spend £500 on a load of wheel spin

Anymore info on an R-tech map on a v6? I had no intention of modifying my car but the gains on the remap seem like a lot of bang for your buck!

so...

How much are you looking at?
What are the effects on mpg?

£265 + new deal of the month, if there is one?? :undecided:

Not sure on the MPG, but if it's anything like the turbo, then MPG will go up! 8)

Even worse whilst chasing mates in skylines

R Tech quoted me 240 me thinks to come to nantwich and do it at my college, if i wasnt getting the tailgate smoothed (and repaired from a doddery old bugger crashing into it) it would be happening asap.

If mpg does go up a bit then its a winner, i have had 34.4mpg out of a run from crewe to lancaster 60 all the way  :embarassed:
