Title: Second service costs - what have you paid?
Post by: TagnuT on 25 February 2009, 21:26
My car is coming up for its second service - T&D with Long life oil.
Just wondering what people have recently paid for a 2nd year - 20,000 mile service. Just to give me some ammo before I start trying to get the price down when I phone up.

Mine was about £225 as well (Benfield, Newcastle), however check the UK VW website, they used to offer a price match with any local dealer, which includes other VAG garages such as Skoda and Seat. Get a quote from them and then get VW to match it

I had second longlife 'plus' service, brake fluid, pollen filter and a set of wipers £360

I think the basic service on its own would have been £220 ish

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like the tarrif prices are standardised. I would have expected the Skoda dealership (Lincolnmk5) to have been a little cheaper than the VW prices. :undecided:
