Title: carbon hella twins
Post by: GOLF_MK on 25 February 2009, 18:15
Having not seen them are they any good?

Have a chance of some but would want to repaint them in the same colour as the car, could this be done ok?

They're not real carbon, just a carbon effect, and if you remove them from the car you can see that the plastic covers are kinda see through.

Personally I wouldn't paint them, the carbon effect covers seem harder to come by (in my experience cus I could do with a spare one!)

I've left mine unpainted, and on my dragon green Mk3 they look sweet

I would not paint the carbon ones, try and find a matt plastic pair if you want to paint them.

What you gotta remember, them lights I took off a pic from my car, there's a tint of green on there, they would look better if they were actually on there ;)

That's probably it then - the green spoils it   :lipsrsealed:

The other thing that doesn't help is shep's picture isn't saturated in colour...if that makes sense? The sun light is shining all over it and take a lot of the fullness away, but gives you an idea of what it would look like at least :)

I would be carefull colour matching them as I think they are better black as it helps break the front of the car up.
