Title: nice mk5 at Scottish megameet at knockhill

i was at the Scottishvag mega meet on sunday at knockhill, took a lot of photos of some nice dubs
the white Gti has been seen before on here a while ago, the red one is mine complete with new smooth undrilled grille
my favuorite VW of the day was the old van

I went to that,
Liked the ECS brake set up on the white one with the 19's. Nice motor as well noticed the grill.

Hi people,

Can anyone tell me what alloys are on the white GTI in the last picture? also, are they 19's? im only just getting used to all the things about alloys, width, offset ect but to be honest im still very confused, those wheels look really nice,  thanks for any help  :smiley:

i think they are the BBS LM's but im not sure, if they are and (i dont have the money but) If i ordered a set of these lovely wheels at 19x8.5, would they fit?

cos i noticed that their offset means they'll poke out a little more than my standard alloys as they are "deep-dish" or have a wide lip. No matter how much i read i cannot understand the offset ratings other than the offset i should get is ET42 to Et50, the wheel sites i visited didn't give me the offset of their wheels so i dont know what will fit  :embarassed:  sorry as i am still just a newb.

thanks hurdy, im pretty sure they are 19's, would a wheel size of 19x8.5 offset of 45 and a tire size of 225x35x19 be adviseable on a golf gti? cos i love the look of those wheels but am afraid of problems like arch scrub, full lock rub and legal limits of the wheel sticking out, thanks  :smiley:

Am now looking for some nice wheels that i can actually afford but with those sizes in mind

Yes its Chris Lomax's GTi with the Works VS-XX 19" wheels and full red leather with RS4 seats up front.
