Helo Again,
Over the last couple of weeks i've been noticing a slight knocking on the rear passenger side when turning hard lock to the left (ok to the right) and when going over small bumps at speed.
Recently its been getting worse and louder, still doesn't affect the drive at all but am starting to get a bit worried about it.
Has anyone any idea what this could be and if this is a big / expesive job or couldit be done in the drive way ??
Thanks

is the car lowerd? also have you checked exhaust fittings as it would be easy for this to cause a knocing sound
-
Nope - almost completely standard but as clean a car as you'll find.
See i was thinking it had something to do with whel bearings or cv joints but knowing absolutely nothing about cars i'm not sure.
Bought the car 3months ago and the guy told me he had changed the back box recently - a bit pissed off really as he'd took the twin exit off and put a single exhaust on (dont think it looks as good) - so do you think it could be something to do with that ???

2 things to check, 1) in fitting the exhaust has he left the clamp touching the back axle or 2) rear top mounts could be worn, not expensive or hard to replace.

yea sounds suspect if hes changed the exhaust recently..

Thanks will have a look at it this weekend - anything else to check out for while i'm under there ??

My dad said let the kids out the boot
On a serious note.. could it be the rear axle bushes? :undecided:

They dont get in this car much - too fecking messy !!
Well if im honest i think its got more to do with the axle or joints or bearings because its a pretty violent rattling / knocking when i turn left !!!
