Hi Guys (& Gals if there are still any lurking?),
I need new discs & pads for front and back but I need suggestions for the best ones cheaply!
I've found a set of front and rear discs (Grooved but not drilled - my preference) for £130, but I haven't found any deals on pads... Possible fancy Mintex but will go for OEM if I can't find any for a reasonable price.
90% road, but I will be doing a bit of light track driving.
Cheers,
Kae.

Will be keeping tabs on this thread as I need new discs and pads pretty soon and have the same requirements.
Saved me posting up a seperate thread

Eurocarparts or GSF for brake pads. Wouldnt bother with grooved discs!

I'm not bothered if the brakes are grooved or not, just that the full set I found came to £130 and they happened to be grooved (fronts and back for a 97 8v). If anyone has a better price for grooved or plain discs, please let me know!
Cheers, Andy.

Try www.vwspares.co.uk you will get a set of Febi front and rear plain discs for less than £90 delivered. Eurocarparts and GSF should also be able to beat your price of £130 for oem discs. All 3 should be able to offer good prices on pads as well. Don't forget you'll need rear wheel bearings as well.
Stick with oem for road use and they will be more than adequate for light track use as well. Grooved discs will wear your pads down a lot quicker.
