Title: problem with mk2 gti 8v

anyone know what high acceleration on fourth and fifth bgear is abouut. it started a few days back when i change up to high gear my car almost red lines on revs by only a bit of pressure on the throttle is this a throttle body issue or clutch problem any ideas.
