Just bought some cheap Le Mans (early MK3 GTI Wheels) wheels so that I could take my Long Beach wheels off to refurb them. But thought I'd be able to do a tyre swap between the two whilst refurbing. But it looks like they have different tyre sizes. The Le Mans look like they have 195/50/15 and my Long Beach have 205/50/15.
Is that right? Were the Le Mans a narrower wheel?
-
yup le mans are 6" and the long beachs are 6.5"
-
Yes but the 195's will still be ok even on the narrower rim.

think you ment wider

I'll just get the tyres taken off, then refurb the Le Mans and then get a couple of new tyres for them. They've got a couple of good Goodyear Eagle F1s on, the other two tyres are junk.
Also thinking what other tyre sizes could I run on the Le Mans?
Sorry I'm new to all this lark.

195/50/15 or 205/50/15's will be ok on both the long beech or le mans wheels.

195/50 came on all early cars, even my 1993 car which has long beach has a 195/50 from the factory, they changed to 205 profile in 1994
195's look ALOT better

And are also a lot cheaper.

I only fitted 195's to stop rubbage!! My spare rims have 205's but means I have to raise it 30mm!!

That's good news, so after re-furbing the Le Mans I can stick my other tyres on them while I refurb the Long Beaches. Cheers
