Title: HEADUNIT HELP!!

i have just put in a in dash cd changer and i am getting this distortion sound in the back of the music and its gets loader the faster i go!!!  :cry:

so the niose is linked to my gas pedal i presume

does anybody know what the hell this is as it just started as soon as i put the in dash cd changer in.

If its a huming noise then it could be a bad earth or a supresion problem (feed back from your alterenator)

My standard cd player used to do that i presumed it was feedback from the alternator, is fine now with my new stereo don't egt any feedback.

intereference is generally caused by a poor earth connection
try pulling the unit out and adding an extra earth to the changer chassis
if that does not help then you may need to fit a choke(suppressor) in line on the 12v+ supply

ok iv just checked and there is a earth cable coming out of the side of the cd changer

where am i suppose to put it to tho???

as i dont see no where i can screw it on to get earth as its all plastic around the headunit area?????

can i wire it off the earth on the headunit?? its the original vw golf mk4 headunits.
