Is it normal that on the rear my tyres are 91 W's, and the front 91 V's? I would think they need to be the same?
Thanks.
-
won't make a difference
just that the rears can go faster than the fronts
-
It's not normal no but it doesnt matter its just the speed rating

i doubt you'll be doin 149(v) mph or 168(w) mph anytime soon
-
What car is it mate?
-
VW Golf Mark 4 1.8T 150BHP
I had a look at my dads BMW and that also has W's on the rear and V's on the front!
-
Maybe the person that put them on thought you might be doing wheelys past 150mph!
-
V rated tyres are cheaper so maybe your dad wore his fronts out quicker than his rears and bought the cheeper ones when he replaced them ???
-
My dad doesn't do specs lol, he gives his car to the garage and they do what ever lol.
-
well they probably put V's on and charged him for W's ?
Some places are Tw@ts like that
-
I'll get W's all around, it's only like 20p extra a tyre on this site i've found, seem to have good reviews and sh!te too!
-
Don't worry about the speed ratings they mean bugger all in the real world. Get a tyre with good reviews. I've gone for a pair of falken 452's this time round as i have heard nothing but good words about them. Didn't even look at what speed rating they are! Speed ratings are tesed in a straight line, better off getting a tyre that will keep you on the corners!
