Title: Audi S2 Estate?

Anyone know what these are like?

Going through a 30mph zone yesterday (doing 30 of course) and saw an Audi race up behind me.... So knocked it down it to 2nd a gunned it at the national limit signs... and he stuck on my tail!!!

So came upto traffic lights an pulled beside him, its was an Estate!!
I was now feeling a bit uncomfortable, was an estate going to beat me?

So off the lights it was neck and neck all the way to 60... Then he pulled off a a few yards! Gutted  :-[ :-[

I looked at the back and it Said Audi S2 and had a weird badge, Red and blue and silver???

Are these fast?

these are serious serious cars

o-60 in like 4.6 seconds,
there animals  >:(

are you sure it wasnt an rs2 ?

what reg was it?

Its was quite new.... X i think.


I kept up with him until 60... then he pulled off (10-20 yards) and then a Porshe 911 Turbo joined in!!

Gotta agree that they are fast cars mate and should not be taken lightly, think about it though, when companies like Audi/BMW even Volvo (T5 I'm thinking here) make estates they generally give them loads of poke and need to be respected  ;)

He got quite a bit of wheel spin (odd cos they're 4wd arent they?)
It was dead level upto 60 then he pulled away!!

Yeah! Although couldnt see writing on it cos it was quite small. Whats the Porshe connection?

315 bhp, 5 cylinder turbo and quicker to 30 than a Mclaren F1 (if the website is to be believed), I would say they were wolf whistling you in tandem  ;D

porsche worked with audi on some parts of the original rs2. it has 911 brakes and even the 'cup' alloys of the time

Whatever the chuff it was, it was quick, rs2 or a 2.7 bi turbo is respect enough in my book  ;)

If it was an x reg then it would have been an Audi S4 or could have been an RS4.
The RS4 is the nutter fast one, 380bhp , 0-60 in 4.8 sec, it was only made as an Estate.
The S4 is about 280bhp, 0-60 in about 6 sec.
BOTH of them would leave a golf 16v for DEAD  :D

As far as i know both the S4 and RS4 are 2.7 V6 bi-turbo.

I wouldn't stand a chance against an S4 or RS4 in my vr6, so what chance has a 16v got?  :D

It said S2 on the back for sure and had that funny badge with the red and silver bits... (not sure on the blue).

The S2 was a 2.1 turbo lump, 230bhp, stop making them in about 1995.

Im not saying my car is as fast as that! Like i said he didnt get a good start, makes all the difference.

BTW mr6 my cars faster than yours.  :D

I went with my mate to AMD on saturday to pick up his new s4,and all i can say is its very very quick!!Its a 99 s reg with a milltek exhaust mtm chip and eibach suspension and after they put it on the ramp to check it before he handed over the folding they rolling roaded it and it was pushing out 306 bhp :D

my dad had a volvo lairy arse t5 thingy and that was chuufing quick, if a bit tail happy handling, auto and still loadsa wheel spin in most gears. volvo  :o

I think Dizzies 20vT would have a good go at one, but the 16v would get blown to pieces. He probely was laughing his ass off and toying with you. :P
